Trade Review Scorecard

A closed trade has two separate stories: what the market paid and how you executed. Use this five-part scorecard to record the second one before the P&L becomes the whole story.

Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you select is stored, sent or tracked.

Review the execution

For each question, choose the answer that best describes the evidence you can see in your plan, chart and trade record. “Partly” is useful information—not a failure.

1. Was the setup and invalidation defined before the entry?

A useful record names the setup, the point that would invalidate it and the reason for entering.

2. Did the entry match the setup you planned?

Check location, trigger, session context and whether you entered from the model you intended to trade.

3. Was risk defined and held within your plan?

Review size, stop location and any change to the original risk after entry.

4. Did management follow the plan while the trade was open?

Note additions, reductions, stop changes and decisions made because of new information rather than impulse.

5. Can you explain the exit against the plan?

An exit can be early or late and still teach you something. Record the reason before calling it good or bad.

This choice never changes the execution score. A win can contain a process error; a loss can follow the plan.

This educational scorecard reflects only the answers you select. It does not provide financial advice, trading signals, suitability guidance or a guarantee of any result. Use your own trading plan and the official rules of your broker or prop firm as the source of truth.

A scorecard captures one decision. A journal makes the pattern reviewable.

VantageGrid helps you keep trade context, chart screenshots, playbook criteria and review notes together—so you can compare execution across a week instead of relying on one memorable win or loss.
