Questions

Is my trade file uploaded anywhere?
No. Your browser reads the file and runs every calculation locally. The page makes no request that contains your file, your trades or your results, and nothing is stored after you close the tab. With analytics consent we count only that a check ran, whether it used the sample, and a rough trade-count range.
Which exports work?
A CSV with one closed trade per row (instrument, exit time and either a P&L column or entry price, exit price and quantity), or one fill per row (instrument, time, buy/sell, quantity and price). Column names used by NinjaTrader 8, Tradovate, TopstepX and similar platforms are recognised automatically; any other column can be chosen by hand. A file that is not a record of your own trades, such as a strategy report of simulated trades, is refused with the reason.
Where do the P&L numbers come from?
From your file whenever it contains a P&L column. If it does not, P&L is calculated from prices only for futures whose contract multiplier VantageGrid has verified (for example ES, NQ, MES and MNQ); other rows are counted but left out of money totals rather than guessed.
Why can a number differ from my platform?
Platforms differ in how they group fills into trades, which fees they include and which time zone they write. The check shows the source of every number and lists any rows it skipped, so you can reconcile against your platform before you rely on a result.
Is this trading advice?
No. The check describes trades you already closed against rules you choose. It does not predict results, recommend trades or confirm compliance with any broker's or prop firm's rules; their official dashboards remain the source of truth.
What does a VantageGrid account add?
It keeps the review: your rules checked on every day you trade, trade-by-trade notes, screenshots, playbooks, firm limits and the week-over-week trend. Every new account starts with 21 days of Pro, with no card; after that, Pro keeps your whole history, every firm account and the Pro API, and Free to keep shows this week and last. This Trade Check stays free, with no account.

The Trade Check describes trades you already closed, measured against rules you choose. It does not provide financial advice, trading signals or suitability guidance, does not predict results, and does not confirm compliance with any broker's or prop firm's rules. Your platform and your firm's official dashboard remain the source of truth. Results from a short period are not evidence of an edge.
