How this is calculated
- Daily buffer:
daily limit + min(0, today's P&L). Gains are not counted as extra daily room — most firms don't extend the limit intraday. - Static floor:
account size − max drawdown. Trailing floor:highest balance − max drawdown(end-of-day uses your highest end-of-day balance, intraday uses your highest equity including open profit). - Drawdown room:
current equity − floor. - The last line subtracts your open risk from the tightest of the two buffers.
Some firms stop trailing once the threshold reaches the initial balance (or slightly above it). This calculator keeps trailing, which is the more conservative reading. Consistency rules, minimum trading days and payout rules are out of scope here.
